Ally Kyriakou

My name is Ally Kyriakou and I am a Yoga Teacher and Integrative Nutrition Health Coach at The Branches. A mover my whole life- including twelve years in karate- I found yoga in 2009, where Leena was my first teacher out of a rented space at a church. Since then, I have had the incredible experience of completing two Yoga Teacher Trainings (YTT’s) through The Branches. I completed my first YTT (200 hr) in 2018 through Queen Street Yoga after completing a BA from the University of Waterloo (UW). I spent a couple years teaching in various spaces including UW, Laurier, and volunteer-teaching kids at two elementary schools. By 2021, I pursued wellness in other areas, including a nutrition diploma from Conestoga College and a personal training certification (CanFitPro). In 2026, I completed a second YTT (250 hr) through The Branches. The general emphasis on teaching yoga for all bodies and abilities, as well as the extra 50 hrs on de-colonizing yoga, both greatly align with my values. I also like to integrate further nervous system and psychosomatic understanding from my education through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, where I am completing my health coach training. I have a passion for teaching adults and kids alike, and believe yoga is meant for everyone. I believe yoga can have a vastly positive impact on all our lives; mind, body, and spirit.
